KRIS SOUTHARD
Ms. Southard is president of ExactEvents, Inc., a woman-owned event management firm founded in Alexandria, Virginia in
1992.  She markets her company to corporate, association, and government clients to provide management for special
events.  

Prior to beginning her company,  Ms. Southard  was responsible for seminar planning and event logistics for the Institute for
Contemporary Studies and its Washington vice-president, Ambassador Ken Adelman.  Furthermore, she planned and
executed a series of seminars through the Sequoia Institute for the State Department’s Agency for International
Development.

Ms. Southard was also a professional model for ten years with agents in Greensboro, NC; Baltimore, MD; Richmond, VA;
and Washington, DC.  She has extensive print and on-camera experience serving as a representative for major corporations
such as L'eggs Products, Drexel Heritage Furniture, Eastman Kodak, Black and Decker, and RJR Nabisco.    She began her
career with RJR Nabisco in  both Marketing and Public Relations.

Ms. Southard has an Associate Degree in Medical Communications from Wingate University and a B.A. degree in
English/Communications from High Point University and was awarded Outstanding Senior Contribution to Collegiate
Journalism.
DR. JEROME E. SCHNEE
Dr. Jerome E. Schnee is a consultant in health economics to the pharmaceutical industry.  From 1996-2006 he was
Executive Director, Health Economics and Pricing in Johnson & Johnson’s Pharmaceuticals Group.  In this capacity he
directed studies to substantiate the economic value of new J&J pharmaceutical products, and supported J&J operating
companies in negotiations with regulatory, reimbursement, and health technology assessment authorities.

Dr. Schnee previously served as Dean (1988-1994) and Professor of Management (1988-1996) in the College of Business
at the University of Cincinnati.  He has also taught strategic management and business economics at the Rutgers Graduate
School of Management (1974-1982) and the Graduate School of Business, Columbia University (1968-1974).  Dr. Schnee
has written books and articles on the economics of the pharmaceutical industry, drug research and development, and
technology management.  .

Dr. Schnee received his Ph.D. in Business and Applied Economics from the University of Pennsylvania (1970).  He earned
an M.S. in Industrial Administration at the Graduate School of Industrial Administration, Carnegie Institute of Technology
(1963) and a B.S. in Mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (1961).  
LAWRENCE G. SOUTHARD, III
As an expert in corporate compliance and oversight, Lawrence’s career at Johnson & Johnson (1996-2007) included
participation on the Health Care Compliance Review Committee, created the JJPS Business Center, engineered a web-
based e-system for worldwide project reporting, and developed strategic teams to support global pharmaceutical value  
assessment and pricing.  Lawrence understands the complete scope of work requirements associated with Advisory
Boards, most importantly, contracts, agreements and the Totality documentation system.

Prior to his tenure at Johnson & Johnson, Inc., Lawrence founded Capitol Policy and Resource Group, Inc., a consulting firm
in Washington, DC, specializing in strategic policy development, government and business reorganizations as well as  
leadership development and coaching.  Lawrence was also Manager of Corporate Public Affairs at R.J. Reynolds, Industries
in Winston-Salem, NC where he developed corporate public affairs programs to support public policy objectives and chaired
all of RJR’s political action committees.  Additionally, he was  recruited by the U.S. House of Representatives in the Office of
the Clerk to develop regulations, reporting forms and audit guidelines as well as staff the office responsible with enforcing
the new Federal Election Campaign Act.

Lawrence earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from The Citadel (1969).
